WELCOME TO THE NATIONAL RURAL NETWORK FOR GIFTED & TALENTED EDUCATION

working together to support isolated and rural learners.

The aim of this website is to provide advice, support and information for schools, young people, parents and carers, on gifted and talented education. Our particular focus is on very able learners who live or attend school in rural, coastal or isolated areas of England.

We recognise, value and support the knowledge and skills which learners from isolated areas can contribute to the global learning community. All gifted and talented young people face similar educational challenges, but there are some particular issues which need to be addressed which support very able youngsters in isolated communities to succeed.

We aim to identify these differences, remove barriers to learning and celebrate successful educational outcomes for gifted and talented young people in rural, coastal and isolated communities.

We hope that you find our selection of guidance, resources and opportunities useful and we would like to hear YOUR views and ideas too!
